DC DanceSport Academy's Youth Ballroom: The perfect opportunity for your child to learn and develop skills which can be carried over into every part of their lives! We are the largest and best known children's and youth ballroom school in the Mid-Atlantic region, training young competitors from Washington D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia. Three of our youth couples became the 2008 and 2009 US Champions in three different age groups and proficiency levels, and our students include a number of US Championship finalists. All of the dancers are young students of DC DanceSport Academy's Youth Ballroom division and have been trained by the accomplished dancer, Lydia Petrigova.

We offer a variety of programs ranging from sport groups and competitive coaching, to show groups, and individualized training, all of which will give children an opportunity to find what works best for them and make them the happiest!

Our programs aren't just about competition. The goal of our programs is to develop children's ability to express themselves socially, physically and artistically through a form of dance that is both elegant and energetic.

Ballroom dance will stay with a person forever, and confidence on the dance floor leads to confidence in life!
